HEARTeens is stepping into the fourth (and counting) week of the CIti-YMCA Youth For Causes 2010! Sales so far hasn’t been too bad, but still not too great! Thank you to all the volunteers who have turned up! So, here’s an update to what we have done, and what’s coming up:
Within the past two weeks, HEARTeens and 13 volunteers have gone to 6 different places in Singapore to sell nuts and chocolate-mint cookies. HEARTeens has also taken a huge step forward by purchasing over 1500 cookies this week and aim to finish selling them within the next two weeks. HEARTeens also decided to thank its volunteers by giving them free t-shirts! :D These shirts also serve the purpose of publicity for HEARTeens and also to show that we are united! Yesterday was the first day that HEARTeens had a night sales and we used the banner and wore our HEARTeens shirts for the first time. The sales was so good that the volunteers finished selling almost everything within 2hours and night sales had to be cancelled due to insufficient stocks. Thanks everyone!
Over the next two weeks, do look out for more streets sales and volunteers, please remember to wear your HEARTeens shirts whenever you come by to help out! We will be preparing more stocks since we have noticed that our volunteers are becoming more and more efficient! :D :D
Also, we’ll be starting publicity for our run, which is aptly titled Run For Your Life! Running is a very very healthy sport, but definitely not over-exerting yourself. So this event is to encourage you to come together with others and run healthy distances. At the same time, the distances are suitable for both beginners as well as seasoned runners. Finally, by participating in the run, you stand to take part in a lucky draw to win attractive prizes as well as win medals when you finish tops in the race! Not only are you raising funds for the beneficiaries of the Singapore Heart Foundation, you are also keeping yourself fit!
